UTB welcomes BAAA to explore collaboration opportunities

Delegates from the Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association (BAAA) visited the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) to explore opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange in accounting, auditing, and finance.

During the meeting, representatives from BAAA engaged with UTB members, led by Dr Hasan Almulla, President of UTB, to identify potential areas of academic–industry partnership, highlighting the importance of enhancing practical skills and professional readiness for students entering Bahrain’s competitive job market.

Focus areas included student internships, joint training programmes, professional certifications, and applied research projects, ensuring UTB graduates acquire hands-on expertise alongside strong academic foundations. Both parties emphasized their commitment to creating a sustainable, long-term partnership that bridges classroom learning with professional practice.

“With UTB’s mission to provide our students with world-class education enriched by direct links to the professional community, we are confident that by working hand-in-hand with BAAA, our graduates will be academically prepared and industry-ready,” said Dr Hasan Almulla.

Once established, this strategic partnership would strengthen UTB’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, which offers ACCA exemptions and gives students professional recognition while completing their degree at the university.

UTB strengthens its ties with professional organisations, establishing itself as a hub of academic excellence and professional relevance in Bahrain. Its graduates in business, technology, and engineering are prepared to meet the evolving demands of the global workforce.
