UTB supports MKF’s “The Takeoff” initiative
University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) reaffirmed its partnership with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) through its participation in The Takeoff, MFK’s first career and university expo for Bahraini youth, at its new headquarters in Riffa. The event brought together over a hundred motivated secondary school students aged 16 to 18, providing them with essential insights into university life and future career pathways.
Organised under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of MKF’s Board of Trustees, the expo was graced by the presence of His Excellency Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, and His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate.
Dr Hasan Al Mulla, UTB President, expressed his appreciation to Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa for leading initiatives that empower Bahraini youth, highlighting The Takeoff as a valuable platform for guiding students in making informed academic and career choices. He reaffirmed UTB’s commitment to its strategic partnership with MKF, established in 2023, aimed at expanding educational access and scholarship opportunities. He noted that the collaboration reflects a shared vision to equip future generations with the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the Kingdom’s development.
At the event, UTB showcased its industry-relevant academic offerings, including bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology (with majors in Networking and Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and AI, and Applications Development), Computer Science, Environmental, Mechatronics and Informatics Engineering, Business Informatics, International Business, and Accounting and Finance; master’s programmes in Business Administration, Digital Marketing, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management; and the NCUK International Foundation Year. UTB also highlighted its student-centred approach, offering personalised academic advice and career guidance designed to support long-term career growth.
