UTB strengthens staff advancement through sponsored professional development

The University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) reaffirms its commitment to developing its human capital by sponsoring employees to pursue advanced academic qualifications and professional development, equipping them with the leadership, managerial, and professional competencies needed to enhance performance, support institutional growth, and prepare for future leadership roles. The latest MBA graduates form part of UTB’s expanding staff development initiative, complementing previous graduates as well as staff members who are currently undertaking their studies under the university’s sponsorship programme.

This commitment was highlighted during UTB’s 21ˢᵗ Graduation Ceremony, where five UTB staff members completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees with university sponsorship, further reinforcing UTB’s long-term approach to building leadership capacity and institutional excellence.

To recognise this achievement, the Human Resources Department organised a surprise appreciation gathering, during which the graduates were formally acknowledged and presented with certificates of recognition. Dr Hasan Almulla, President of UTB, congratulated the graduates and underscored the importance of continuous learning in driving professional growth and future leadership.

Beyond academic sponsorship, UTB offers structured professional development pathways that may include career progression, promotion opportunities, and the opportunity to contribute academically through part-time teaching roles.

The honoured graduates were Mr Ahmed Hussain Khadem, Mr Ali Alaradi, Ms Buthaina Saeed Marzooq, Ms Esraa Alhawaj, and Mr Salman Abed. UTB looks forward to recognising more employees through its staff sponsorship and professional development programmes, following the university’s tagline – From what inspires you to what you’ll inspire next.
