UTB showcases outstanding student talents

The University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) proudly celebrated the outstanding talent, creativity, and cultural diversity of its students at the highly anticipated “UTB’s Got Talent.” Energising the campus with unforgettable performances and an enthusiastic audience from start to finish, the event stands as one of the university’s most engaging and dynamic co-curricular platforms, showcasing the vibrant and collaborative spirit of its students and echoing the university’s slogan: From what inspires you to what you’ll inspire next.

This year’s Got Talent featured a diverse array of performances, including music, art, comedy, fitness, and magic, that showcased the creative abilities of UTB students. Musical acts included vocal pieces accompanied by musical instruments, as well as band performances, demonstrating both technical skill and artistic expression. The art segment highlighted intricate calligraphy artwork crafted and a theatrical skit with precision and creativity. A comedy performance brought humour to the stage, with stand-up personal routine through engaging delivery. A fitness demonstration added an energetic dimension to the event, showcasing physical discipline and athletic capability. The showcase concluded with a magic show, where sleight-of-hand techniques and polished stagecraft kept the audience engaged.

Throughout the event, students displayed a high level of preparation and professionalism, contributing to a competitive yet supportive atmosphere. The judges evaluated each performance with careful attention and applied clear criteria to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment. Following the deliberations, the competition concluded with the announcement of the winners who were awarded cash prizes, trophies and certificates: Zayad Al Mousa claimed the champion title for his vocal performance that resonated strongly with the audience, earning the event’s loudest cheers; Mr Nobody earned first runner-up for their theatrical skit, a unique portrayal of a UTB student life; and Aisha Amoke and Jessica Geneciran shared second runner-up for their musical performances coupled with vocal dynamics and impressive stage presence.

At the awarding ceremony, Dr Hasan Almulla, UTB President, commended the student performances and emphasised the university’s strong commitment to the holistic development of its students. He highlighted that co-curricular and extra-curricular activities form a central part of the university’s educational philosophy, enabling students to build confidence, enhance their abilities, and explore their creative potential. He reaffirmed UTB’s dedication to providing a supportive and high-quality campus environment that nurtures innovation, talent, and responsible self-expression.
