University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), represented by its President, Dr. Hasan Almulla, and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Bahrain Section, represented by its President, Dr. Ali Zolait, renewed the Memorandum of Understanding continuing for five years.

The renewed cooperation between UTB and IEEE Bahrain Section aims to advance innovation and technological excellence of both parties in all aspects of the electrical, electronic, computing and related fields. Particularly, it promotes technical career development and community engagement related activities such as establishment of IEEE student branch, technical societies, and other affinity groups, technical and professional development trainings, workshops and conferences, and joint research works in interrelated fields.

Witnesses in the signing ceremony are UTB officials (Dr. Adnan Altamimi, Vice President for Administration and Finance; and Dr. Haitham Alqahtani, Vice President for Academic Affairs) and IEEE Bahrain Section delegates (Dr. Adel Abdullah, Vice President; Professor Isa Qamber, Honorary President; and Professor Husham Ahmed, Treasurer).
