UTB hosts the 10ᵗʰ International Conference on Engineering, Technologies and Applied Sciences (ICETAS 2026)
The University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), in collaboration with a number of strategic partners, successfully organised the 10th International Conference on Engineering, Technologies and Applied Sciences (ICETAS 2026). The event was held in the presence of Her Excellency Dr Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahrami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, and witnessed broad participation from academics, researchers, and experts from various countries. The conference serves as a specialised international academic platform aimed at facilitating knowledge exchange and showcasing the latest applications and advancements in engineering and applied sciences.
The conference featured keynote sessions, specialised lectures, and parallel technical tracks under the theme, “Paradigm Shifts in Industry 4.0: Transforming Economy, Technology, and Efficiency.” Discussions addressed advanced topics including artificial intelligence, renewable energy, robotics, cybersecurity, and health technologies. Peer‑reviewed research papers and specialised presentations reflected the ongoing development of research in these fields, underscoring the importance of innovative solutions that support both industry and society.
Participants explored prominent global developments, including applications of artificial intelligence in education and healthcare, hydrogen technologies, digital transformation, and the role of emerging technologies in strengthening cybersecurity. The conference also recognised outstanding contributions through Best Paper awards, celebrating excellence in research and innovation.
It is worth noting that the conference was organised with the support and collaboration of key strategic partners, including the Engineering, Technology and Social Science Management (ETSSM), the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and the Huawei Technologies Bahrain.
This initiative forms part of UTB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic partnerships, advance applied scientific research, and prepare engineering and technology professionals capable of keeping pace with global transformations and contributing to sustainable development.
