UTB hosts an innovation camp to inspire sustainability in aviation

The University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain, hosted the third edition of its Innovation Camp, drawing competitive student teams from across the colleges even alongside their ongoing academic schedules. This initiative also served as a platform for students enrolled in project-based courses to showcase innovative and sustainable aviation solutions, aligning with current global discussions on sustainability in the sector.

Guided by experienced mentors from UTB, INJAZ Bahrain, industry leaders, and experts from Bahrain’s aviation sector, students were challenged to develop innovative and practical solutions to real-world aviation scenarios. The experience not only tested their entrepreneurial acumen but also honed their critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills within a highly competitive environment.

Following a rigorous evaluation and cross-questioning process, the judging panel recognised “Wings of Wonder” as the winning team for their outstanding creativity, strategic thinking, and collaborative execution. Comprising students from Environmental Engineering, Business Informatics, and International Business programmes, the team unanimously earned high praise and commendation from the panel of judges. Their achievement proves the calibre of talent UTB cultivates – professionals who are well-equipped to address global challenges and make a meaningful impact both within the region and beyond.

As UTB continues to spotlight transformative ideas and initiatives emerging from its diverse student community, the collective efforts of all participants, mentors, and partners and organisers played a significant role in the success of this workshop.

UTB remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering students through opportunities that foster innovation, leadership, and real-world application of academic learning whether in the fields of engineering, technology, or business.
