UTB hosts AI training with MOI delegates

As part of its flagship community engagement initiative, UTB CarEs, the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) has again demonstrated its commitment to societal transformation and technological advancement. The College of Administrative and Financial Sciences recently conducted an impactful training session for delegates from the Ministry of Interior, focusing on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can revolutionise human resources management.

Led by CAFS faculty members, the session explored a range of AI-driven solutions that can streamline HR processes, enhance employee engagement, and foster a smarter, tech-oriented workplace culture. The training highlighted real-world applications of AI in automating repetitive tasks, improving recruitment accuracy, and enabling data-driven decision-making to optimise workforce management.

Dr. Adnan Altamimi, Head of CE Office, lauded the collaboration, emphasising its alignment with UTB CarEs. “This initiative not only reflects UTB’s commitment to serving the community but also underscores the transformative power of AI in addressing contemporary organisational challenges. Through such collaborations, UTB bridges academic expertise with practical solutions for societal progress,” he noted.

The Ministry of Interior delegates actively participated in the session, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools and discussing how these innovations can address the unique challenges faced in human resources management within government institutions. Feedback from participants highlighted the relevance and timeliness of the training, as organisations across the globe increasingly adopt AI to remain competitive.

The training session adds up to UTB’s mission to be a catalyst for innovation and positive change. By equipping professionals with the knowledge and tools to embrace technology, UTB not only empowers individuals but also contributes to the national vision of a tech-enabled future.

Through UTB CarEs, the university continues to extend its reach beyond the classroom, fostering collaborations that uplift communities and drive progress. This training initiative stands as a shining example of how academic institutions can serve as partners in national development and technological advancement.
