UTB holds the fifth edition of EDP
The College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) organised the fifth edition of the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), a trimestral event that showcases the entrepreneurial talents of final year students. The event attracted a diverse audience, including alumni, advisory board panel members, students, faculty, staff, families, top management, and other community members.
The EDP serves as a platform for students to present their innovative projects and entrepreneurial skills. This year’s edition concluded with the recognition of four outstanding projects: Crafty Creations, awarded the Best Project for the Bachelor of Science in International Business, stood out for its innovative approach and market potential. UniTalk, recognised as the Best Project for the Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics, impressed the judges with its practical application and technological innovation. The accolade for Best Collaborative Team was given to the Fine Art team, highlighting their exceptional teamwork and creative synergy. Laundry Truck received special appreciation for its unique concept and potential impact on the community.
In addition to the project awards, tokens of appreciation were presented to UTB alumni Mr. Emad Hasan Al-Asfoor and Mr. Dheya Mohamed Alshaebani. Their presence and valuable input in selecting the awardees were greatly appreciated and added a significant touch to the event.
Through EDP, UTB fosters its commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship excellence. The university looks forward to seeing these young entrepreneurs make significant contributions to the business world.
