UTB fosters media literacy and community development
In a strategic move to enhance media training and community engagement, delegates from the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), led by Dr Hasan Almulla, President, and Dr Haitham Alqahtani, Vice President for Academic Affairs, were warmly received by Mr Abdullah Elhami, Editor-in-Chief of Al Watan daily newspaper, at the newspaper’s headquarters. The meeting focused on exploring potential avenues of collaboration, particularly in media training and the organisation of joint events, reinforcing mutual commitment to fostering strong partnerships that contribute to academic and community development.
Key discussions centred on the introduction of specialised media training programmes aimed at equipping UTB students with essential skills for the dynamic media landscape. These programmes are designed to enhance students’ professional competencies, preparing them to excel in the labour market.
