UTB enhances pedagogical excellence with innovative workshop
The Faculty Development Committee of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) organised a transformative workshop on effective learning strategies, aimed at enhancing pedagogical approaches and student engagement.
Held in collaboration with the Academy Institute of Training and Development, the workshop explored innovative teaching strategies, technology integration, and interactive learning methods designed to improve student outcomes and elevate the learning experience at UTB.
The session was expertly facilitated by Dr Sawsan Jawad, a renowned trainer, assessor, and internal quality auditor. Bringing her extensive expertise in education and training, Dr Sawsan Jawad guided UTB faculty members from various colleges through modern teaching methodologies, practical engagement techniques, and the strategic use of technology in the classroom. Through hands-on activities and case studies, participants gained valuable insights into fostering a dynamic and student-centred learning environment.
Dr Haitham Alqahtani, UTB’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted that this workshop is part of the university’s broader initiative to strengthen faculty expertise and enrich the educational experience for students.
