UTB engineering students showcase innovation in an on-campus robotics challenge

The University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) continues to foster technical excellence and innovation as mechatronics and informatics engineering students enrolled in the microcontroller course showcased their expertise in an on-campus robotics challenge.

Designed to bridge theory and practice, the challenge provided students with a platform to apply their engineering knowledge in real-world scenarios. As part of their course project, students were tasked with designing, programming, and constructing robots to tackle three distinct technical challenges. This hands-on approach not only tested their problem-solving skills but also reinforced UTB’s commitment to experiential learning and industry-relevant education.

Dr Ziyad Ismail, a faculty member from the College of Engineering, emphasised that the activity was an opportunity for students to push the boundaries of innovation, refine their skills in AI and automation, and gain practical experience in robotic systems, further inspiring their peers to pursue cutting-edge advancements in engineering and technology.

UTB remains dedicated to equipping students with future-ready skills that align with the evolving demands of the technology sector. By fostering a culture of innovation and hands-on learning, the university continues to empower the next generation of engineers and innovators, preparing them to excel in an increasingly technology-driven world.
