UTB concludes induction week with Saudi National Day celebration
The University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) community joins the Kingdom of Bahrain in the celebration of Saudi National Day, marking its 93rd anniversary this year, in support of the strong bond between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and as a comradely welcome of Saudi students to UTB at the onset of the new academic year.
The celebration concluded the weeklong induction of new students and was adorned with different traditional aesthetic performances and exhibits highlighting the rich history and national achievements of the country over the years, of which were actively participated in by the diverse community members, students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Hasan Almulla, UTB President, expressed his pride on the cooperation and solidarity between Bahrain and Saudi. He further stressed that Saudi students are much welcome and appreciated to be part of the student body at UTB. He added that the university continues to provide academic support to all students towards the attainment of excellence and professionalism with the highest standards of quality.
UTB’s keenness to celebrate Saudi National Day reflects its commitment of strengthening the cultural ties and national spirit among all stakeholders of the university, particularly reinventing student experiences of future professionals who are sought-after in the workplace.
Other activities during the weeklong induction included the President’s welcome speech and impactful pieces of advice to all new students, demonstration of IT systems, introduction to policies, procedures and opportunities to advance their academic performance and practical life skills, campus tour, and frolics among others.
