UTB celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day

University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) joins the national celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day with this year’s theme, “Women, Worthy Partner in Nation Building,” the same theme carried by the National Strategy for the Advancement of Bahraini Women endorsed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2005, in support of the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).

Dr. Hasan Almulla, President of UTB, reaffirmed the university’s support for this meaningful celebration recognising Bahraini women’s invaluable contributions to the advancement of the university and the Kingdom at large.

During the celebration, UTB honoured the remarkable achievements and dedication of Bahraini women within its community. Their perseverance and innovation embody the spirit of the nation, reflecting the essence of this year’s theme. As a gesture of appreciation, all Bahraini women at UTB were encouraged to take the day off following the honouring ceremony to celebrate themselves and their accomplishments.

This celebration aligns with UTB’s ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where the achievements of Bahraini women are recognised and celebrated. Today and every day, the university acknowledges their role in breaking barriers, making history, and building a brighter future for all.
