UTB celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day, recognising national contributions

In recognition of the role of Bahraini women in society, the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) celebrated Bahraini Women’s Day with a special commemorative breakfast attended by its Bahraini female faculty and staff. The event highlights the prominent role of Bahraini women and the strong support they receive from the Kingdom’s leadership, under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has prioritised women’s empowerment as a cornerstone of national development. It aligns with the Kingdom’s vision of women as essential contributors to society, partners in sustainable development, and key drivers of national progress.

UTB recognised its Bahraini female employees, celebrating their achievements and contributions across various departments. The event highlighted the competence, dedication, and leadership demonstrated by women in their professional fields.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr Hasan Almulla, President of UTB, said, “On Bahraini Women’s Day, we proudly acknowledge the pioneering role of women in the Kingdom’s development, inspired by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Women. Their leadership ensures that women remain at the forefront of national progress.”

He added, “At UTB, we take pride in the achievements of our Bahraini female staff and students, who continue to excel across various disciplines. UTB remains committed to creating a supportive environment that empowers women to take leadership roles and reach the highest levels of professional success.”
