UTB and LMRA forge strategic partnership

In a significant step forward to strengthen education and workforce development, the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA). This partnership is poised to open new avenues for collaboration in education, training, and employment, reinforcing the alignment between academic outcomes and labour market demands.

Dr. Hasan Almulla, President of UTB, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting that this strategic partnership with the LMRA is driven by a shared commitment to enhancing educational and training outcomes to meet both current and future labor market demands. He emphasized that this partnership would open doors to valuable job opportunities for UTB graduates across a wide range of employment sectors.

Under this partnership, UTB will play an important role in advancing academic initiatives by harnessing the expertise of its distinguished faculty. The university’s comprehensive facilities, including its sports grounds, will be utilised for joint training programs and activities, while access to specialised laboratories will provide hands-on, practical training within these initiatives.

This strengthened collaboration is poised to markedly influence curriculum development and creation of training programs specifically tailored to meet labour market demands. Additionally, it will promote research and innovation between UTB and LMRA, thereby contributing to the national economy by preparing a highly skilled workforce. This initiative aligns seamlessly with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, reaffirming the kingdom’s dedication to sustainable economic growth and development.
