UTB and Alia Rehabilitation Centre host team-building tournament for children with autism

In a remarkable display of social responsibility and community spirit, the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), through its Community Engagement Office, collaborated with the Alia Rehabilitation Centre to organise a team-building tournament for children with autism. This meaningful initiative aligns with UTB’s commitment to fostering social inclusion and promoting sustainable development within the community.

The event was made even more special with the participation of Bahrain National Football Team players, who are proud UTB alumni. Together with the dedicated UTB team and the passionate staff of Alia Rehabilitation Centre, they organised engaging sports activities tailored to support children with behavioural and communication challenges.

The tournament was more than just a series of games; it was a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and the power of teamwork. The joy and enthusiasm radiating from the children’s faces as they participated in the activities were truly heart-warming, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.

At UTB, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Through initiatives like this, we continue to make a positive difference in our diverse society – one meaningful connection at a time.
