Under HH Shaikh Khalid’s patronage, UTB holds 19th graduation ceremony
Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) held the graduation ceremony of its 19th batch.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary and BOC Vice-President, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister, Dr. Diana Al Jahrami, Higher Education Council Secretary-General, Hesham Al Rayes, GFH Financial Group’s CEO and UTB Board of Directors Chairman, Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, BOC Secretary-General, and Dr. Hasan Al Mulla, UTB President, in addition to dignitaries, graduates’ families and faculty members, attended the ceremony, held at the Al Dana Amphitheatre.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed thanks and appreciation to UTB board of directors and officials, wishing the graduates continued success.
His Highness lauded UTB’s achievements and commitment to providing a conducive educational and sports environment for students.
In this regard, HH Shaikh Khalid said: “The achievements of the University of Technology Bahrain are in fact contributions and initiatives to develop Bahraini youth and create an advanced educational and sports environment to provide them with the necessary skills, enabling them to play an effective role in the economies of the Kingdom and the region.”
Hesham Al Rayes appreciated the constant support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to education in the kingdom.
He also expressed deepest thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for his patronage of the ceremony, and unlimited support for UTB in order to achieve its goals and consolidate the kingdom’s status as a pioneering regional centre for developing talent.
Al Rayes also congratulated the graduates, wishing them a successful professional career.
UTB President, in his speech, expressed pride in the graduation of students who, he said, will contribute to building the nation.
He added that the graduation ceremony is held on the occasion of the kingdom’s celebrations of its national days, affirming loyalty to the kingdom, under HM King Hamad’s leadership.
During the ceremony, as many as 723 students from UTB’s various colleges received their graduation certificates. Top achieving graduates were honoured.
