Saudi Ministry of Education accredits UTB

University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) takes pride for having been accredited by the Saudi Ministry of Education, thereby expanding opportunities for Saudi students to pursue higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, particularly in UTB, one of the largest private universities in the Kingdom. Since its establishment, UTB has conferred engineering, computer science and business degrees to a number of graduates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Following the accreditation grant, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of HEC, received Dr. Hasan Almulla – President of UTB, together with Dr. Haitham Alqahtani – Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Adnan Altamimi – Vice President for Administration and Finance, in her office. Her Excellency confirmed that this achievement manifests the University’s continuous commitment and support of enhancing education, providing conducive educational environment for students, supporting university professors in the field of scientific research, and meeting global standards, hence placing the higher education institutions in Bahrain as a study destination of students from different countries. Further, she commended UTB’s progressive initiatives in achieving more successes and excellence in producing job-market qualified graduates and affirmed the support of the Higher Education Council to all universities towards the attainment of Bahrain’s economic vision 2030.

Dr. Hasan Almulla, President of UTB, praised the efforts and continued vigilance of the Higher Education Council headed by Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of HEC, citing the Council’s significant role in supporting the University in its pursuit of international accreditations for its bachelor and postgraduate academic programmes.

With this recognition, UTB is even more driven to reach its ambition of becoming the lead university in business, science and technology education and innovation in the coming years, also inspiring its core mission, which has been redefined to prepare students, including international students, for careers in cutting-edge fields like technology, science, and business.
