Ramadan Festivities celebrated


In celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan, AMA International University-Bahrain AMAIUB),  hosted  a series of activities on June 16 from 8pm onwards. This was under the patronage of  Trustee Dr. Essam Abdulla Fakhro and Trustee  Bashar Almutawa, members of the AMAIUB’s Board of Trustees.

Dubbed as Ramadan Festivities@ AMAIUB: A Night to Remember, the event kicked  off with anOpen House in which new and transferee students, parents and guests gathered information about the wide variety of resources available to AMAIUB students.Moreover, the students’ outputs and projects were  exhibited during the event. The participants had  a glimpse of the university facilities and laboratories such as the state of the art  iMac Lab, research, mechatronics, and CISCO, among others. The different college booths were made  available for those who would like to know more about the University’s programmes,  namely: Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics, Bachelor of Science in International Studies, and Master of Business Administration under the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences;  Bachelor of Science in Computer Science under the College of Computer Studies;  and Bachelor of Informatics Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering under the College of Engineering.

A Fashion Show  of  traditional Arabic costumes and music was participated in by some students. They  showcased the  Best Jalabiya  and the Best Thobe.

The Alumni Homecoming was also one of the activities of the night  wherein five outstanding AMAIUB graduates were  recognized.  Selected graduates also shared their testimonies from their most valued academic experiences and how the University honed their knowledge and skills in order to meet the demands of the labor market. This activity is held annually to strengthen the ties between the alumni and the University and to further the vision and mission of AMAIUB.

Lastly, the night was  highlighted by the Ghabga  featuring   local bands playing traditional music, henna painting, a feast of  traditional delicacies,  and  a buffet of Arabic and Italian food.

Indeed, it was a night to remember!
