AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) commenced its University Week celebration with the theme, “Envisioning the Challenges of Times” on July 30, 2013. The Career Fair and Batch 2011 Alumni Homecoming held at the university auditorium highlighted the said activity.
In her inspirational message, Mrs. Buena Gracia A. Canzana, Head of Administration and Chief Operating Officer, mentioned that the responsibility of the university towards the alumni does not end after graduation, and each graduate is an achiever in his own way. Thanking the industry partners for honing the students’ skills while they were on the job training, she further said, “We owe you in developing our students through their practicum and giving them the chance to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in order to meet the demands of the labor market.”
In his testimonial speech, Engr. Raed Jawad Ali Al-Gallaf, a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering (BSME) graduate, shared his most valued experiences after graduating from the university while figuring out and streamlining his career path to reach his goal. He encouraged his fellow alumni to continue supporting AMAIUB as a concrete gesture of gratitude.
The event concluded with the awarding of plaque of recognition to outstanding alumni and industry partners.
Activities slated for the week are academic contests, seminars, marketing bazaar, booths, exhibits, medical mission, open house, and a lot more.
