In celebration of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AMA International University – Bahrain (AMAIUB) conducted a symposium on breast cancer and health awareness in coordination with Al-Hilal Hospital, AlRayan Pharmacy and Motmena Centre on October 23, 2019 at the University atrium.
Lecturers and medical team from the abovementioned institutions facilitated the forum on the early detection, causes, cures and preventive measures of breast cancer and other related health concerns. In their talks, they emphasized that while breast cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the breast and that the main reasons are genetics and certain environmental or behavioral triggers, proper health education is the best prevention to fight all sorts of cancer.
Said activity was one of the initiatives of the Community Engagement Committee (CEC) of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences (CAFS) in support to AMAIUB’s drive of promoting health, physical wellness and work efficiency while fostering cooperative alliances and partnerships with other entities and institutions.
