AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) computing, engineering and business students had a technical site visit to Brinc Batelco IoT Hub on January 22, 2019.
Prior to the visit, Dr Safeeullah Soomro, Dean of College of Computer Studies, Dr. Husham Ahmed, Dean of College of Engineering and Dr. Amin A. Elmeligi, Dean of Student Affairs, together with the Brinc Batelco IoT Hub team, organized activities for the students to increase their industry exposure, enhance their entrepreneurial skills, and learn new practical insights in technical innovation and research development as well.
During the visit, the students enthusiastically learned about the IoT modern products and services offered by Brinc Batelco IoT Hub through orientation, introduction to work stations and support services, and demonstration of projects. These activities proved inspiration and inculcated entrepreneurial awareness among the students as well as the faculty members. A question and answer session was conducted to conclude the visit.
Mentored by Dr Ruchin Jain, Dr. Essam Fatehi Subhi Alnatsheh and Dr. Surendran Rajendran, the site visit further motivated the students to participate in the upcoming Hackathon Completion and internship program of the college, thus carving themselves as future entrepreneurs in the field of IoT products and services development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
