AMAIUB holds Got Talent 2019

The Center for General Education (CGE) of AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) organized and spearheaded this year’s AMAIUB Got Talent on July 25 to showcase students’ talents in different genres such as in singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, sports and the like.

Dr. Rosita Castro, the CGE Director, welcomed all participants and attendees with a heartfelt enthusiasm.

The essence of holding such competition was inspired by Dr. Buena Gracia A. Canzana, the Head of Administration. In her message, she highlighted the importance of developing talents into productive skills in order to fully achieve one’s potentials. While she commended all contestants and all students for their active participation to different competitions locally, regionally and globally, she further challenged all students, faculty members and staff to be on their toes and get out of their own shells in order to discover what more they can do to bring out the best of themselves.

Winners were proclaimed as follows: Rohjan Enriquez, who played the piano, bagged the first place; Adbussamaad Saddiq, who composed a rap about his AMAIUB student life, placed second; and Sherwin David, Kimberly David and Masood Saif, who played as a band, ranked third. They were awarded certificates and cash prizes. Dr. Aileen B. Caday, the QAAD Director; Dr. Nidhi Menon, a part-time faculty member of CAFS; and Ms. Thelma A. Colesio, the Head of Treasury, were also awarded plaque of recognition for their invaluable service as judges.

It was indeed a night of fun and cheers at the jampacked University Auditorium for incredible talents!
