AMA signs MOU with TWO French Universities

A French delegation composed of Dr. Lamia Rouai, Director of Programmes Exchange and Ms. Julie Pidell, Director of International Relations representing universities of ECE and IT – Eiffel Paris, a well known private university in France is now in Bahrain to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AMA International University – Bahrain (AMAIUB).

The MOU between the two institutions will include exchange of programmes and students in Engineering and Business Studies, exchange of faculty members in these programmes, in addition to carrying out joint research endeavors. The institution is the only private university in France that was given a research grant by the French government; hence, it reflects the high research and academic status enjoyed by this institution in the French educational system.

ECE which specializes in Engineering and IT – Eiffel which specializes in Business Studies are accredited by CTI, the French accrediting and licensing body of engineering similar in status and credibility to that off in the US. Both are considered big private universities in France which are accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education.

After the discussion with AMAIUB’s top management, Deans of colleges to discuss academic programmes in both sides and open discussion with the students on issues associated with exchanges were also held. The MOU signing took place at AMA Auditorium and was attended by the representatives of the French Embassy. Professor Nabil El Kadhi, Provost of the University, and Dr. Lamia Rouai, signed the agreement.
