AMA International University-Bahrain team bags 1st place in the 4th IET GCC Robotics Challenge

AMA International University – Bahrain (AMAIUB) team won the local round of the fourth IET GCC Robotics competition on Wednesday, the 6th of March, 2019 at the University of Bahrain.

AMAIUB commends its engineering students, namely Mohammed Salem, Abdulrahman Jaweed, Rwawan K. Bakro and Faizaan M. Mustafa for their exemplary teamwork. They were coached by Dr. Walid El Fezzani, the Mechatronics Engineering programme head, and Dr. Rajkumar Palaniappan, a faculty member who experts in robotics and Mechatronics.

Prof. Husham Ahmed, the Dean of the College of Engineering, affirmed that participation of AMAIUB students to such highly skilled competitions extends their knowledge, competency and determination and experiences for more life-long learning.

Consisted of six rounds, each round representing one of the GCC countries, the competition primarily aims to promote and demonstrate state-of-the-art technologies in robotics and their applications.
