To raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan which ravaged the central part of the Philippines, AMA International University Bahrain joined the Walk for a Cause Part 2 on February 7, 2014 at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, from 7am to 3pm.
With the theme “Sama Na, Tulong Na, Lakad Na _ Let’s Join, Let’s Help, Let’s Walk”, the event, where AMA International University is a gold sponsor was spearheaded by the Philippine School Bahrain.
The event which is a collective effort for a common cause is a self-awakening on the value of charity among thousands of Filipinos here in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Also participated in by the Bahrainis and other nationals coming from the different sectors of the society, approximately three thousand people from all walks of life, both young and old, swarmed the 5.5 kilometer track of the Bahrain International Circuit on a sunny day.
Everyone hopes this noble cause will go a long way for the homeless and the emotionally depressed victims of the typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
This event for a great cause was fantastic. It’s healthy, it’s noble, and it’s fun.
