AMA International University – Bahrain honors the MicroSoft Imagine Cup 2014 Champion


AMA International University – Bahrain (AMAIUB) held a ceremony today, May 29, 2014 for the Champion of the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2014 Country Finals held on April 27, 2014 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Ms. Buena Gracia Canzana, the Head of Administration of AMAIUB, in the presence of the CCS Associate Dean, CCS Department Head, QA Assistant Head, Mentors and University Auditor awarded a plaque of recognition and cash incentive to the three (3) Bachelor of Science in Computer Science students of AMA International University – Bahrain.

As the Champion in the most famous International Annual Competition sponsored by Microsoft, Dima Darraj, Mohammed Babbili and Mahmood Hilal will represent Bahrain in the Regional Finals, which will be held in Qatar on June 2-4, 2014, where they will compete with 29 teams from other countries in the region. Their winning project called “Jacki: An Application for the Blind” is a special software that will not constrain the blinds from acting like normal individuals with perfect sight. The University is confident that this project will again bring the AMAIUB team to compete in the World Finals in Seattle, USA, on July 2014.
